An Israeli delegation today visited the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, to talk about Israel's participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, met with the delegation led by Aaron Abramovich, director general of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Zhou welcomed the delegation and spoke about the current status of the Expo preparations.
Zhou said the organisers have reserves 3000-square-meters of land for Israel's pavilion, and are awaiting Israel's confirmation of its participation.
Israel is noted for its computer technology, medical treatment, and environmental conservation. Zhou suggested that Israel have a self-built pavilion to fully display the country's high-tech achievements and unique culture and civilization.
Abramovich thanked Zhou for his introduction and asked questions on the expenditure needed for a self-built pavilion and the schedule of the preparations for the Expo. He said the Expo is a platform that offers opportunities for a country to show itself off and Israel will be participating.
